Good for Mobile and other issues
« on: November 18, 2014, 09:28:40 am »
For some odd reason Good for Mobile on my phone sporadically works.. It will be working for a while, but then get disconnected and not receiving mail. Anyone else having this issue? How would I begin to troubleshoot? Are there firewall logs where I can check dropped packets?

Additionally, when connected to an external VPN, some sites are inaccessible. All of this is occurring over Wifi.

Any ideas?

Which part isn't clear?

Good for Mobile is a popular corporate email client.

I don't see what's not clear about the external VPN. I am trying to connect to a corporate network from home, using the corporate VPN. Once connected certain sites are not reachable. This is not an issue when connected to any other router.

Never heard of the email client, so it might be good if you explain what something is when asking for help.
That said, I'm afraid I don't have any advice here, since I've never used it.

As for the VPN, it's something we're going to have investigate, it's not something I'm aware of having been an issue for anyone else. I presume you're using some VPN software on your PC, as the Almond+ can't operate as a VPN client yet?

I think I found the issue - can you tell me how to disable dnsmasq?

Uhm, why would you want to do that? It'd break a ton of things, since that's the DHCP server and DNS forwarder.

Understood - since I don't have any other options I need at least see if this works.

Can you please tell me how to disable, and then re-enable?
