Almond+, Water Sensors and Siren
« on: November 27, 2014, 11:38:52 am »
Hi,

I just added a Utilitech wireless indoor siren (Zwave) which is recognized by my Almond+ and can be triggered.
I'm trying to associate it with 3 of the Securifi water sensors, so that the siren is triggered when the water sensors are triggered.
Is there currently a way to do this ( I'm on the latest release of the firmware R069) ? .. or is this part of the upcoming automation release ?

Thanks for any light you can shed on this.

This is part of the upcoming automation release. Looking at the internal test firmware I got yesterday, it'll be really easy to do.

Which Utilitech wireless indoor siren did you use?

Lars, could you make sure the FW/HA will support triggering on water sensors going from dry->wet and wet->dry? Essentially a checkbox to invert the output state. I'd like to use one to be notified when my Koi pond level drops below a setpoint (among other uses).

The siren is the Utilitech Model # TSE07-1
Not sure if you are in the USA ... here's a link to it :

It synced up easily with the Almond+ and I can currently trigger it on/off from the Almond+ ( but waiting for the automation piece ).

You can trigger either which way already, i.e. the trigger can be set to flood or ok, plus low battery and tampered, so I think you'll be ok.

That one is made by Everspring and it works pretty well. Note that it eats batteries though, so getting some rechargeables might be a good idea.
