Homekit support?

I'm wondering what your plans are when it comes to Apple HomeKit. It seems obvious that the Almond + could be an ideal HomeKit bridge.

I don't see it as likely unless they come out with a new Almond since Apple is requiring MiFi certification. Granted this is just from what I've read about HomeKit.

What @Ohiomedic said.

MiFi isn't happening on the Almond+ near term, at least no plans have been announced.

Apple will, as usual, play in their own sandbox.

I'd suggest reading some of the early home kit reviews. Apparently it's a terrible mess that works very poorly even with supported hardware.
It seems to work reasonably well when it works, but when it's not behaving, it's just as bad as every other solution out there.
It's also highly dependant on what hardware you have, as you can do certain things with the Lutron app and different things with the Insteon app if you have their new hub.
I'm sure Apple will sort some of this out over time, but it looks like you'll have to depend on the "best" app from a 3rd party to get the most out of your HomeKit setup, rather than using some universal app from Apple.
