Cant select 2.4GHz Channel
« on: July 15, 2014, 07:27:52 am »
Cannot change the 2.4 GHZ channel to anything. EVEN WORSE, it is set by default to channel 9. That means that all of your neighbors despise you. Why? By selecting channel 9, the Almond+ is overlapping both channels 6 and 11. This is aggressive behavior. In this spectrum, people must cooperate not compete.

Where did you try to change the wireless channel?

Also, do one thing for me, as some units have an issue which we sadly didn't catch until we'd sent them, do a hard reset by pressing the reset button for 10 seconds - http://wiki.securifi.com/index.php?title=Hardware_reset_button_-_Almond%2B_2014 - then let me know if it works or not. We haven't had any issues with changing the wireless channel at all.

Not sure if this is related. I have try to rename the wireless name from modem console, but it never worked with the on board firmware and the beta firmware that I just received. The rename has to done from Web GUI.
