Dusk/Dawn for Home automation
« on: July 15, 2014, 03:43:02 pm »
I know the scheduling feature is not yet ready for the Almond+ (hopefully soon though :-) ).
I would like the suggest adding an automatically adjusting Dusk and Dawn option for the scheduling.  I know the Vera units have this and when I had one I found this great for the outdoor lights' automation.

It's something we already have planned and courtesy of the weather service we're working with to provide the weather data for the Almond (and the Almond+ in the near future) we should have very accurate data for this.

I would be surprised if such function was not in there.

But don't do like with the Almond where you base it of the IP address, make sure we can override the location manually somewhere.

Yeah, we're aware it needs an override, as the IP based weather data doesn't work 100%.

Thank you!  That's great to hear.  I'm looking forward to the next firmware update when we can start using scheduling  :)

Actually, scheduling is still a bit out, but good progress is being made.
The next firmware adds the range extender and access point and a bunch of other little fixes.
