Can't re-add sensor after removing
« on: July 20, 2014, 05:31:54 pm »
I received my Almond+ a few days ago and added two light sensors to it.  They were added right away with no issues.  I was having issues connecting my Almond+ to my cloud account though so I was told to remove all sensors and do a hard reset, so I did that.  Unfortunately, it did not fix my issue.  We found out later the issue could be because of a & in my SSID.  However, now I cannot re-add those same light switch sensors to my Almond+.  I went through the same process I did the first time and the Almond+ cannot seem to connect to either  :(
The switches are these:
http://www.amazon.com/Jasco-Z-Wave-Wireless-Lighting-Control/dp/B0035YRCR2
There doesn't seem to be any reset on the switches from what I have seen.  Any ideas on what's wrong or what I can try??

Thanks!

You might have to exclude the sensor first. At least that's how it is on my zwave home network using MIOS. Try excluding first then include it again!

Do you know how I would go about doing that?

Thank you!

I have not added or removed any sensors yet. Maybe Lars can chime in here.

Nevermind,  I figured it out and you were correct  :)
Even though they didn't show up on the Almond+, I had to go to remove sensor, go press the sensor, and it recognized it still and removed it.

Thank you!

Right, the confusion here comes from there being two remove options.
Z-Wave sensors have to be removed in Add Sensor, Remove or they won't reset.
Removing them under Connected Sensors will only result in the Almond+ not seeing the sensor any more, but the sensor still thinks it's connected to the Almond+.
I'll make sure to get some instructions with regards to this up on the Wiki.
