Ability to turn off the LEDs too
« on: July 22, 2014, 04:05:01 pm »
I see from your "known issues" topic that you're already working on a way to turn off the backlight. I keep my router in my bedroom, so I'd like to be able to turn *all* of the lights off. My old router had a "stealth mode" that does this, and you could probably handle this in the UI by just replacing "blank screen" with "turn off lights". Presumably people would have the touch screen on while diagnosing connectivity problems anyway. If you don't want to change the existing UI, then I'd settle for an option in the advanced settings.

I've added this to the feature request list that we're putting together.
I'm not sure if you can really see the LED's on the Ethernet ports though due to their location.
I'm in the same boat as you though and not being able to turn off the backlight is a tad annoying and I've been pushing for this for some time and will continue to do so until it's done.

The lights aren't noticable when there's any light, but I have blackout curtains and no other lights in my room, so there's a green glow on the wall behind my router at night.
