Web UI Thermostat interface
« on: August 21, 2014, 10:53:40 pm »
I have a couple of suggestions for the web interface for the thermostat:

First, I have my heater set to 68 and my AC set to 75, but it says "Low 75, High 68" which seems backward to me.

More importantly, I find the sliders for setting the temp to be very hard to use: there is no feedback on WHAT I'm setting it to, and frankly the range used (35-95) seems a bit larger than necessary (and so there is less resolution in the slider).  What I would suggest is that the actual set value be displayed, perhaps just over/under the current set point, and there be +/- buttons (maybe one at each end) to go up by 1 degree (or half a degree in C, or whatever).  Usually if I want to adjust the AC it is just be a couple of degrees, and that is very hard to do with the current interface.

Point taken and we're already working on improving this.
The problem is that none of us actually have a thermostat at home and we've made some oversights due to this, but I've passed on your feedback to the software team and hopefully this will get addressed quickly.
