Almond as extender with ethernet webcam
« on: September 15, 2013, 12:15:57 pm »
I currently run a D-Link DIR-645 router with security disabled but MAC filtering enabled.  I have a garage about 75' from my house which gets a medium wifi signal.  Can I install an Almond in the garage as a range extender with a wired netcam plugged into one of its 2 ports?  I have a netcam whose wifi no longer works but the camera works fine on an ethernet cable.  Thanks.

Yes, it should work just fine as in range extender mode the Almond will act as a wireless bridge allowing you to plug in any wired Ethernet device so it can gain access to the network over Wi-Fi.
