Currently, I have 2  Kiwkset 910 deadbolts connected to a Vivint 2Gig panel (this model specifically: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004EKOPOE/ref=twister_B00B9LJBKE ) and I would also like to control the locks via the Almond+. However, I am not sure if the locks can work with tow different Z-wave controllers.

As much as I would prefer to move it off the Vivint panel, the one concern I have on the locks is that the Vivint panel has at least a cell modem so if the Internet goes down in the house I can sell remotely control the locks via the panel.

The only solution I can think of is to find a USB cell modem for the Almond+ but I'm not sure about doing that. I would rather be able to control them via either system.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

There are several posts about how the A+ would integrate into an existing Z-Wave network–for example, acting as a secondary controller, a range extender, or as a main controller that can control older controllers. None of these ways are currently implemented, however.

Some of these posts can be found here: http://forum.securifi.com/index.php/topic,1274.0.html

Yeah, currently only your primary controller is going to be able to negotiate with and update any secured items like locks.  However, if you're willing to setup an "extra" z-wave node on your network you could use it as a sort of a status bit for communication between your two panels.

i.e. have a z-wave duplex or appliance module somewhere you don't use.  On = system is armed, set a scene (when A+ has it) to lock all doors when on status is detected. Off = system disarmed, turn on lights in the house and turn down thermostats.

Thank you for the information, I'll take a look at the other posts mentioned and see if it helps.

Again, thanks!
