Apple is moving away from AFP, not HFS/HFS+, my bad, too much work at the moment, brain mush...  :-\

We might support HFS/HFS+, but it'll not be right now.

jeffmcneill:
I'm interested in the HFS/HFS+ support +1, but also what about ZFS and XFS? It seems that popular filesystems for NAS are not available. Seems straightforward enough with OpenWRT http://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/howto/usb.storage

jeffmcneill:
Hi Folks, any comment on this? It has been 5 months.

SecureComp:
Have you tried adding the packages and testing?

I don't need to mount an OS X disk but I could mount some NFS/NAS drives.

Adding the packages is not a big deal, will know if it works right away. The concern is the version of OpenWRT we are using is a little dated. When I get around to adding my NAS drive, I'll post up results.

As for "officially supported", will wait for Ashok to weigh in.

jeffmcneill:
I went ahead and figured out how to get SAMBA to work on OSX, the file format was a part of the problem. Ended up going with NTFS. Here are the steps I took: http://mcneill.io/nas-timemachine-almond-plus-openwrt/
