Help with port forwarding to nightowldvr.com DDNS
« on: August 27, 2014, 08:26:40 pm »
Disclaimer: I know just enough to be dangerous.

I installed the Almond+ and am running R065.
I have a DVR whose Static Ip is set to 192.168.1.213. I have this DVR set to link with a DDNS service at nightowldvr.com
Per the nightowldvr directions, I am to forward ports 2049 and 2050 for my static IP address. This has been done, but I still cannot connect through th DDNS

I can log directly into the DVR via the static Ip and even when I try to test the DDNS through the DVR software it says "can't resolve host".

It might be a bug because when I plug in my linksys router, all seems to work fine.

But any help would be great.

Replying to myself.  Got it to work.  Did nothing, perhaps it just took 24 hours or so for the DDNS to reset itself.

interesting ... I just received my Almond+ and haven't had time to setup forwarding to my QSEE dvr yet.

I am using DYNDNS (via DVR) and will report back if I have any issues.
