ZigBee or Zwave equivalent to X10 Fixture Relay Module?
« on: August 25, 2014, 06:41:45 pm »
I've been using a number of X10 Fixture Relay Modules (eg. Leviton 6375, http://www.leviton.com/OA_HTML/ProductDetail.jsp?partnumber=6375&section=44384 or X10Pro XPFM http://www.x10-store.com/inremoxp1.html) to control some outside lights.  The problem is they often have difficulty switching (even with a bridge in the power box).  We've just dealt with it but now that my Almond+ has arrived I'm wondering if there is an equivalent out there with a MUCH higher reliability.  My challenge is the boxes these go in *just* fit the Leviton modules so size is a consideration.  I have noticed there are the Aeon Labs Aeotec switches, does anyone have any experience with them?

Anyone have any recommendations?  Likewise, any equivalent to the X10 multi-switch transmitters (like these http://www.x10-store.com/watrkexp1.html)?

I know I stumbled across one just yesterday and thought I had it bookmarked but no such luck. I did some searching though and found two things you might be able to look into. I have no idea if they would work or not, but are they the right idea?
