Sensor UI suggestion
« on: August 27, 2014, 11:22:42 am »
I know this is obvious and probably already in the plans, but I'd like to see a "update sensors" button in the Web UI that would trigger the A+ to actually poll all the sensors (well, all those that support it) and update their status.

I know you have a known issue with sensors not updating when they are manually triggered (switches, door locks, etc), and I am confident that you will fix this soon.  But even in the best cases, there is always the possibility that an event might get missed and things get out of sync, so it would be nice to have a "please poll the sensors and update their status" button.  Some battery operated sensors might not support this, but for sensors that do I think it would be reassuring to KNOW that the status being shown is in fact correct.

I like this idea too. Either that, or a "Last updated" field that displays the last time communication happened.
