Almond+ and home phone
« on: August 31, 2014, 04:31:46 am »
I have my Almond+ on it's way so I'm pretty excited, one questions though. I'd like to get my home phone working with it so is there a way to use the voip phone ports from my existing router, or can i buy this separately? Does the Almond+ support this at all? Thanks.

Can you provide more details? Many things are possible, but if we know your setup it's easier for us to respond.
If your existing router has a PBX built in, the Almond cannot do that.
You can keep your existing router as your primary link, and have the Almond in AP mode to give you better wifi signal.
You can have the almond as your main router, and have your phone router plugged in behind it. This may or may not work for VOIP.
