Kia ora (Hi) from Aotearoa(New Zealand)

Kia ora, I'm Joel; just received my Kickstarter ANZ unit.

I do testing of cerowrt (an openwrt fork for optimizing latency/queuing disciplines see https://www.bufferbloat.net/projects/cerowrt )

I also build and compile openwrt for fun.

I am a Network Engineer/Systems Architect at Alcatel-Lucent in NZ (but am just about to go on Sabbatical to Canada for 6 months)

Few gripes mostly about unavailability of source (boo!) and ancient versions of things.

Also looks like IPv6 support is b0rked (In repeater mode not picking up on Advertisements, and not running dhcpv6 client for statefull addressing).

Also something hinky with the security models being using. TKIP is broken and shouldn't be available in menus as is WPA. All N and above modes are meant to WPA2+CCMP(AES) only...

Welcome to the forum Joel!

Personally just started to play with OpenWRT; neato stuff.  (concurrently playing with a microrouter and OpenWRT).

Yesterday though played some with swconfig; no drivers yet though.....

swconfig scares me ;) It's basically poking at often poorly documented switch registers and hoping that whichever chip-fab made the switch ic didn't change things from the Publicly available reference.

It's about as close to voodoo and dark magic as I like to get.

Personaly I would love to see openvswitch replace everything in terms of interactions at that level. I can dream ;)
