R069: 2.4 GHz radio unstable
« on: November 29, 2014, 03:59:53 pm »
I have been having issues with my my 2.4 GHz radio being unstable since I applied the R069 update.  It will sometimes work for up to 10s hours but eventually stops working and the router requires a reboot.   It doesn't seem to be channel or interference dependant though it seems to stop working faster when I am generating a lot of traffic  (ie. downloading Smash Brothers on my Wii U) where it might only work for a few mins.  I don't see anything particularly damning in the logs but I am reverting to R066 right now to see if the issue goes away.

Not something we've seen and it's something we would've noticed as we're using the Almond+ as our main office router.
Nothing has changed with regards to the Wi-Fi drivers between R066 and R069. R070 will include new Wi-Fi drivers though, so that'll be the one worth testing.

So far it's been stable since going back to R066.  I'll probably just wait it out here if it remains that way until R070 comes out.

And now R066 is crashing on me too.  Still need to restart networking or reboot to fix so I switched back to R069.  Hopefully R070 with the new drivers will fix it.
