Certain ports not forwarding
« on: February 07, 2015, 11:34:10 pm »
I can not get port 3659 to forward. I can get other ports to open and close, but not this one. Is it a bug? I have the newest -69- firmware.

I have experience this issue, different ports, on a number of routers. Some ISPs restrict what ports can be opened and need you to call them to have them opened. Also I have had issues where someone a modem just says no and had to logout and log back in to get it to work. Haven't done any forwarding with the A+ so I can't speak to that aspect.

I've reported this as a bug for now, let's see what the software team can find.

I'm guessing this is for BF4?  ;)

Yes BF4. I rebooted everything and the game is allowing me to play again with the port closed.

I have been playing it since release and I guess with the Almond+ as my main router since April/May of last year and although there were some issues at one point around June/July of last year, I haven't had to open any ports or do anything to be able to play the game, so not quite sure what's going on in your case. It could potentially be your ISP doing some odd kind of port blocking, but that doesn't really make sense either.

I've noticed issues with port 5900 since the R69 beta. Still present in the new stable release.

The ports I opened when I first received the Almond+ work, but I can't make an outside connection to any new ones with latest firmware R070. Any help will be appreciated.
