User Reported Concerns - R066 Upgrade
« on: September 20, 2014, 08:33:41 am »
I upgraded from R065 to R066 today.  I created this to capture user concerns with features that may have changed for the worse on this upgrade.

I have lost all of my Static IP Leases in the Almond+ WedbUI, but they are still shown in OpenWRT (I also tried a restore).
Static Leases show up under /admin/network/dhcp but not /admin/network/lan ?
DHCP Lease times do not match between the two above pages in OpenWRT and the Almond+ WebUI matches /admin/network/lan .

I noticed some similar problems as well and I've reported this to the software team.

This may be related: I had a static lease defined which was lost when I pulled down the new firmware.  When I redefined the static lease through the webUI it knocked out every active lease on the network.  I managed to get back in through a new lease through a friend's iPhone and delete the static lease which appeared to fix everything.  I'd try and reproduce the error, but I'm terrified of losing my connections.

Yeah, managed to do the same thing last night, had to reset my Almond+ at home.  :-\
We'll get this fixed, as it's really rather quite annoying.

my problem actually is getting my firmware upgraded to R066 from R065.
I get this error on both NutsOS and OpenWRT interfaces:

This page contains the following errors:
error on line 136 at column 33: Attribute style redefined
Below is a rendering of the page up to the first error.

After the update, I lost all my settings (router password, WiFi networks, etc).

Thankfully I made a backup archive immediately prior to the update and it restored fine.

You have to go in to OpenWRT and change the theme back to Cortina from OpenWRT or it won't work. Alternatively a reset will fix this.
The option to change the theme in OpenWRT has been removed in R066 because of this problem.

That's surprising, never come across that issue, nor have we had any reports so far that it happens when the firmware is being upgraded.
