Z wave radio freezes
« on: October 06, 2014, 06:10:44 pm »
Have been using the almond+ with z wave successfully for a while. The only issue I had experienced with it is that the kwikset dead bolt is unresponsive / extremely slow sometimes. Sometimes responding in 20+ seconds, sometimes not responding at all. However, the real concern is that for several days I have frequently had the z wave radio become unresponsive so that none of the z wave devices work. This happens when I use the cloud service through the app and when using the LCD. On the app the sensor just says updating but eventually rolls back to the previous status. When I open the actual sensor on the LCS I cannot toggle the on / off buttons at all. The zigbee lights I have continue to work while this is happening. Reboots of the almoind+ do not impact the freeze either and eventually the devices come back online, usually about 15 minutes. Has anyone else experienced this?

First of all, which firmware version are you on?
Secondly, how many Z-Wave devices do you have connected?

This is not something we've seen, although I only have a handful of Z-Wave devices connected at home, but we've tested a lot more and not seen this problem.

I am on the latest version and I have 10 z wave devices, 3 zig bee devices.

And I took a short video of this occurring earlier today as well.

That's really not enough devices to cause any problems. Had you had 100+ I might've sort of understood if there had been a potential slowdown, but not for 10.
By the latest firmware, I take it you mean R066?

I've reported this to the software team so they can investigate what's going on as we don't have any other reports about this issue as far as I'm aware.
