Almond+ Blocking Forza Horizon 2 Servers
« on: October 07, 2014, 07:41:57 pm »
Hello, I am experiencing a issue where my Almond+ is blocking access to the Forza Horizon 2 Game Servers. All my other online games work fine, but Forza Horizon 2 specifically does not work. I've tried resetting the router back to the defaults to see if it was anything I had changed. That did not work. Everything I've read online mentioned to enable "IPSec Passthrough." Unfortunately, I can't find this setting within the Almond+'s menu or the OpenWRT menu. Any help would be appreciated!

I was able to come to the conclusion that it was the Almond+ by plugin my Xbox One directly into my modem. That allowed online play.

Did you upgrade to firmware R066?

For the IPSec option (it's disabled by default), have a look in OpenWRT under Services, ALG and there's a tick box there for it.

I have upgraded to R066. I've enabled IPSec, but the problem still exist. I've enabled DMZ to the console's IP address as well. Any other suggestions. I may try another router for testing purposes, but I would like to keep my Almond+ plugged into the modem. Again, it works fine when the console is plugged directly into the modem.

Please remove the ipsec.rule that we have in "/etc/alg-rules" after adding the port forwarding rules..

Type
Code: [Select]
rm /etc/alg-rules/ipsec.rules

then

Code: [Select]
luci-reload firewall

What is the code to add the rules back? I need to add something else to port forwarding for another device, but noticed it is not working. I'll add the rule back, do the forward, then remove.

I feel like an idiot but I can't seem to figure out how to remove the IPsec.rules.  I set up a DMZ for one of my Xbox One's and set up all the port forwarding rules.  I am assuming that I would add the "/etc/alg-rules" to my router address (10.10.10.254/etc/alg-rules) but that isn't working.  Please help because I would like to get Forza working on both Xbox's.
