Unable to connect to router unless very close
« on: October 09, 2014, 10:56:01 am »
I have been using the Almond since November of 2013, it has worked perfectly. I was using it as a range extender, but recently it is unable to connect to my router, unless very close. I have it in the same location I always have. I am able to see the wifi signal (from my router NETGEAR Nighthawk AC1900) from all my other wireless devices (ipad, Macbook) and connect in that location as well. I was using it to feed a Ethernet to my TV.  I have tried a factory reset to DL the latest software and it still will not connect unless very close.

Please advise, thanks

Hi Vivalestat1,

Most probably either wireless interference is too high because of the channel interference, hindrances like Microwave, baby monitor, cordless phone etc., or the Almond receiver antenna might not be working properly. In any case,  please get in touch with our support team at (support@securifi.com) who would be happy to assist you on this.
