Unable to connect to wifi with iOS 8.0.2
« on: October 10, 2014, 01:05:41 pm »
Hi,

I upgraded my phone from iOS 7 to iOS 8.0.2 last night, and today I'm unable to connect to the Almond router. To verify, I also upgraded an iPad mini retina to 8.0.2 and it now has the same issue. The almond is in router mode.

I can see the network SSID in the list. When I try to connect, I get a spinning circle like it's working. It stays in that state for 10-20 seconds, then the whole list refreshes, and it once again picks up the network SSID and tries to connect. It loops through that sequence forever it seems. Behavior is the same on the ipad and iphone.

Things I've tried:
  • Rebooting the phone and ipad multiple times
  • Using "Reset all network settings"
  • Turning both airplane mode and wifi on and off multiple times
  • Checking for updates on the router (says I'm up to date)
  • Turning power off on the router, waiting, and powering it back up

Really frustrated. My iphone is useable but my ipad is wifi-only so it's fairly useless right now.

Is anyone else having this issue? Thank you for any help.

Update - Took numerous resetting of devices and the router itself, but it finally just magically worked. Chalk it up as a fluke I guess.
