Chnage Almond from router to extender only
« on: October 18, 2014, 10:41:11 am »
Hi I bought the almond because of all of the favorable reviews, I was unable to make it work properly as a router (I think that my provider's signal was the issue).  So now I have a Net Gear N300 wireless router.  So way I want to change the almond from a router to an extender.  It had been un-plugged maybe for two weeks or so and when I plugged it back up all I get is the dummy light, I tried to hard reset it but nothing comesup on the screen.  But it is broadcasting as a router (no cable is connected to it) as I can see from my network.

How do I get its attention and make it switch?

Looks like the Almond is failing to boot up. Keep the unit unplugged for sometime and reconnect it again using the original power adapter. Any temporary glitch would be fixed. If it continues, contact support@securifi.com. This might require a replacement after checking the warranty status.
