Thanks for the tip. I picked up a couple and one paired instantly and I was able to pair the second one's replacement as well w/o issues.

At Less than $15/ea @ HomeDepot this is a great deal!

This week Target (at least in Boston) has all Wink stuff buy-one / get-one 50% off. They had all three sizes of GE Link bulb, a Schlage lock, a thermostat, and their original multi sensor (plus the Wink hub that no-one here needs). They also have the Quirky power strip, but I think that's just wifi and needs their app.

Went by Target yesterday and that deal is long dead it appears (or never happened at the store near me), they were their normal price. Still a really nice price even if you just want to get at the 88MZ100 ZigBee SoC and board deep within.

How did you get the GE Link bulb to pair?  My Almond + says it is unable to pair.

With the Almond in add sensor mode you should just have to screw it in. You might also need to try to reset the bulb. To reset the bulb

Turn off the light
and wait 3 seconds. Turn on the light and wait 3 seconds. Repeat turning the
light off and on (approximately 5 times) until the bulb flashes once. As soon as it
flashes once, it is reset.

I wish they had that right on the package, or even in fine print on the base of the bulb. Considering how often we see it needed in the forum here...

Just FYI, the best way to remove mains powered ZigBee sensors on the Almond+ is to go into Connected Sensors, tap on Edit, then Remove and finally Yes. This will not just remove the sensor from the Almond+, but it'll also reset the sensor and put it back into pairing mode, if it supports auto pairing mode. This sadly doesn't work for battery powered ZigBee sensors or Z-Wave devices.

Is that something recent? Because removing my link bulb back with .66 did not do this. Almond+ removed it fine, but the bulb would not pair again until I reset it.

I think that was added to the buggy R067 release that was pulled, but it's been there since then, i.e. it was in R069, so not that new.
The problem is that we can't do the same for all types of sensors which is annoying, but it's how this tech works at the moment so there's little we can do about it.

I can successfully unlink on r069. Looks like it was a bug with earlier firmware.

Home Depot is having another Quirky sale. The "Link starter kit" , 2 GE bulbs and a ( useless) Wink link for $20. I grabbed a couple for the bulbs, not sure what I'll do with the useless wink hubs, I wonder if they make a decent hockey puck.

That is a great deal. Could always try selling the hub on eBay. I checked online and found pricing at $24.97, which is still great. It only appears to be on in-store pickup (I did not see any shipping options). Still a good deal if you can get it and the site said the pricing was good until April 5th, 2015.

Maybe they ran out online. I know I did buy them online and they were delivered last week. Even at $25 pr, you are still saving 20% off the regular $15 each for the bulbs.
