We've noticed that a few of you have asked about support for Neurio - http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/energyaware/neurio-home-intelligence
To make things clear, we're not going to make any promises of adding support for Neurio, but we wanted to let you know that we've been contacted by Energy Aware (the guys that makes Neurio) and they seem like a great bunch. The Neurio will of course connect over Wi-Fi to the Almond+ just as any other router, but beyond that, the Almond+ doesn't have any specific features that would complement Neurio at this point in time. The team at Neurio are very interested in working with us though, so we'd suggest you guys talk to them about this and we'll see where we end up. Keep in mind that they're only promising third part integration if they hit 250k and they're not quite there yet...  ;)

Just went there and pledged a 3-phase unit.
Even if they don't make the 250K, it should be possible to make something for the Almond+, considering they have a open API.

Was also tempted for the Ubi, but it is a bit expensive, so will hold of until I see how the reviews are, i'm also thinking it relies a lot on something like Google Now, making it only useful for US based consumers. Not being able to make intelligent voice search for other countries.

Anyway thanks for the tip on Neurio.

Energy Aware has already commited to providing open source "Trigger" software.

Quote
Trigger is an open-source application for Raspberry Pi and Android. It enables you to receive a continuous stream of power data directly from the Neurio Sensor. Trigger also comes equipped with pattern matching capability, so you can detect your appliances in real-time. With Trigger, you can detect when your garage door opens and turn up your Nest Thermostat!

It probably would not be too hard to port this code to the Almond+  so you don't need a Raspberry Pi.

Looks like they reached 250k and they're now running a poll  to see what people  want them to integrate with http://community.neur.io/t/what-should-neurio-integrate-with/49?u=ali
The Almond+ is way ahead in the poll  ;)
