Issue with Uverse
« on: January 29, 2015, 09:29:40 pm »
Hi,

I received my Almond+ at the weekend, and have installed it - but I'm now having trouble with my Uverse TV.

I bought the it to replace a switch which was attached to the Uverse gateway, and to get better wi-fi coverage all over the house.
So after replacing the switch with the Almond+, and connecting the DVR ethernet cable to it, some of the TV channels appear black and some just stop after 5 seconds.

If I re-attach the DVR cable back to the Uverse gateway, the TV channels work fine again.

(The Almond+ is wired to the Gateway)

Has anyone else experienced this, or any ideas how I can fix this.

Thanks,

Ian

Ian,

If you are using it just as a switch did you turn off DHCP?  Otherwise you would have had DHCP issuing IP's on the Gateway and Almond+.

Hi Jim,

Tanks for your suggestion, I'll try it when I get back home tonight.
