Lars, I was wondering if there is planned support for windows 10 unified app (so the app would also run on tablets and desktops) Also is there planned Cortana integration? If not is there a way to get the source code so I could try my hand at adding it?

Hi Zexon83,

I can tell you that the app is already a Universal App and has been tested for basic functionality within the desktop environment.  That being said, there is still UI development that needs to be done in order to tailor the app for larger screens.  The Windows Phone version of the app also makes use of the Pivot feature, which allows swiping between Rooms to allow for simpler organization of sensors.  The Pivot feature is not available within the desktop environment, so the UI needs to be tweaked here as well.

As far as additional functionality, such as specialized Live Tiles, Cortana integration, etc, this will depend greatly on the amount of usage that the app receives.  If Securifi feels that the investment to the app is justified, then these features may be brought into the backlog.

I also have Windows 10 running on a Surface Pro 3, a Surface Pro 2, a Lumia 830, a Lumia 635, as well as an HP tablet (Stream 7, I think) - and the app is being tested against these devices as well (and it working great).

Nice!  Thanks Vito!
Are you the app developer or are you part of the effort?

Slim4,

I'm working with Securifi and their development team to develop their Windows App, as they own the source code.  So I think I'm both the developer and part of the effort!  ;)  I've also assisted with some testing on the home automation side, as I have close to 100 sensors throughout my house.

Vito,

I have Windows 10 running on my Lumia 830 and would be elated to do some testing on the app.  If you are comfortable/able to provide the .xap file for the app, I'd love to try it out.

Thank you

I'm also really curious to know how the WP app is coming along.  It's been quite a while since any updates.

For what it's worth, I'm a Microsoft Windows phone MVP, and I've got both WP8.1 and WP10 running on devices to test it with.  ;)

Things seemed to be coming along so well according to Vito, and then nothing for almost 3 months.  Can you give us any insight into whether we'll see a Windows 8 Universal app?
