R069 VPN Server still unreliable
« on: December 03, 2014, 01:07:24 pm »
I've been having this problem with the VPN service of Almond+. Sometimes I just can't get a successful connection
unless I disable then enable the VPN server or reboot Almond+ itself.

I'm not sure if this is related to this topic http://forum.securifi.com/index.php/topic,2223.0.html
as my modem doesn't seem to be rebooting randomly.

It's just that after a long time of not connecting to the VPN server, connection fails.
I also encountered an issue where after successfully connecting to the VPN server I get disconnect
after sometime. Then trying to reconnect will never happen unless I do the ritual of
disabling/enabling VPN Server or reboot Almond+.

In IPsec based VPN ...there is a BUG ..which we resolved already in our internal release ... like the VPN service wont restart automatically when you wan ip get changed/renewed and it won't update the configuration also ....So you will face intermittent connection ..

Please check this with our next beta release ....
