Need a working VPN Server
« on: August 18, 2014, 10:57:42 am »
I want to use the Almond+ as a VPN server.  Everything I've read and heard is that PPTP is incredible insecure and shouldn't be used for VPN.  So I attempted to setup the other VPN server, the VPN L2TP/IPsec server. Set to use a PreSharedKey and I shared that key between my devices, also setup a VPN user account, but it doesn't connect, and I don't even know if there are logs to look at to see why it isn't working.

Are these features working now?  if not when will they be working, and something similar like OpenVPN?

Mine's broken too, even with the R065 update.

I too want to set up a VPN to securely connect to my home network while out.  Partly to be more secure since WiFi is so insecure in coffee shops and restaurants/bars.  I hope Securifi will have someone write up clear instructions to help us Set up VPN for rookies.  Keep working on the firmware guys!
