My Almond+ is just a wifi router at the moment. I'm guess I'm lucky in that the current wifi works well enough for my needs. I haven't bothered setting up the zigbee sensors I purchased, as they really wouldn't 'do' anything with the current firmware. Sure, I could look at the status page and see they've changed, but that's hardly 'automated' and not the point of them.
My home automation needs are taken care of by Vista Automation Module that ties into my home security system, as it's very reliably for z-wave devices and it also ties into the internet.
The wink was added as a secondary z-wave controller as it's not so reliable.
Perhaps once the Almond+ gets automation (and the ability to be a secondary z-wave controller), I'll consider setting up some of the zigbee sensors. Until then, it's a router.
