Simple Almond+ compatible outlet switch

Hi,

I'm new to home automation game. I'm looking for a way to turn on and off a lamp with the almond+. I would like to just have something that plugs in at the outlet since I doesn't take standard light bulbs. Any suggestions?

It is a bit pricey but I use the GE wink LED bulb. Works very well and is dimmable too. I also use the JASCO/ GE Receptacle and Switch  for Fluorescent lights.

Are you trying to replace a light switch or a wall outlet?  I have a couple GE light switches that are simple (got at Lowes) and an in wall outlet that also does power monitoring (got from TopGreener.com).

I just got 2 of these.  THey are heavy though

I have lamp that has a non-replaceable light blub and that is a pain to turn on an off (http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/f034/). That I would like to control remotely. It sounds like br636's suggestions is probably what I need.
