Amazon Echo Integration
« on: January 05, 2015, 08:08:36 am »
Not sure how possible this is to do directly (if they have an API or SDK you could access) but integration with the Amazon Echo so that voice commands could be used as triggers would be very nice. I emailed Amazon about them looking into it from their end, but having both sides giving it a bit of thought cannot hurt. Their response, while positive, could still be the equivalent of "thanks for your feedback". In any case, this would be a nice add.

Barring that, I think Securifi could have a really cool accessory to offer if they allowed the purchase of microphones that linked back to the Almond+ and could be used for voice commands. Maybe against Wolfram Alpha, or Google translations if Amazon is not an option.
Almond 3 mesh handling the home.

We've been looking at voice support via Google/Siri/Cortana, so we'll see what happens...

I second voice integration.

Microsoft has said recently they will port Cortana to multiple platforms.  That said I have an iPhone and Android tablet.  My Echo order is also placed so I am hedging my bets.
