Not sure those have been released yet except to beta testers. Count yourself lucky.

Got my Almond+ this week also -- very happy.  Using in access point mode with no problems on my Verizon FIOS network.  Wireless N (for multiple laptops) and AC (for multiple android phones) is working like a charm so far.  Got the peanut sensor also.  Having lots of fun turning things on and off remotely.

I notice the Almond+ software has a place to report power, current and voltage for the peanut, but these are all showing 0 even with with the peanut on and powering something.  Does the peanut have the capability to report power, current and voltage of powered devices?  If so, will this W, I, V reporting then be implemented in a future firmware version?

Thanks!

Johnny

@ johnnyprivate

Peanut plug will report the current, power, and voltage. However, it won't happen with the current firmware, we would release the new firmware which would give you that ability.

Thanks @ashok24.  I'm on the beta R069cb firmware at the moment.  Will keep my eye open for future firmware updates.  I think you guys are doing a great job, by the way.  Also, a friendly shout out to Lars who I think is doing a great job at communicating to the best of his ability and within the resource limitations of Securifi regarding the fixing of issues, addressing of concerns and communication in general regarding Securifi products.

Thanks again,

Johnny

Peanut plug? What is that? Sounds like a cool device

Can't help but feel a bit left out? the one-month delayed pre-order gets a free present, but initial backers get a year of delays and lack of functionality for months?

Not to complain, I'm happy where things are going at the moment,
but a nice "buy 2 get one free"-action (for backers) when you open up the sensor shop would be nice ;)

Well, the pre-orders did cost 2x what you had to pay for your Almond+ via Kickstarter so... and the final retail price will be even higher.

That's exactly how I took it, a "free" $40/$50 light controller as a "surprise gift" to soften the blow from the drastic price increase.
It took the SO 2 days before she jumped in ,and the peanut controlling the lamp on her nightstand is the ONLY piece of HA she will use. All the other automated lights in the house, she will just power cycle the switch to turn them on rather than use phone, tablet, computer, remote control etc. She loves turning off her light without having to roll over. The manual button on the peanut is a great feature, tap it as you walk into the room and then turn the light off after you are in bed.

I don't expect them to be that high price and I don't mind that new ones are coming with the peanut, the more people they "rope" into the ecosystem the better long term I believe.

On the Peanut, the small button is for pairing and the large button for manual on/off.

If I remember (I do not own one) the smaller button is for pairing. The larger button is a manual power button.

The peanut plug is a "smart" on/off outlet, it plugs into an existing outlet to provide control from the LCD of the A+, the apps and webUI. The larger button, as mentioned allows local, manual control of the outlet and the smaller button is for pairing with the A+. Note that when you plug in the peanut it should go into pairing mode automatically (flashing red/green), but you can use the pairing button to put it into pairing mode and when removing it from a network should you need to.
