Sirens
« on: January 11, 2015, 10:04:47 pm »
Now that we have rules coming into play. I'd love to see to a siren set up for use with an alarm system. The aeon labs seems like a good one at a reasonable price. http://www.amazon.com/Aeon-Labs-DSC11-ZWUS-indoors-ZW080-A17/dp/B00PKKM2HO/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1421030934&sr=8-13&keywords=aeon+labs

Is there are UI for sirens as of yet? Or will we be waiting for the UI to be developed first then see support for devices? Thanks!

Met up with them at CES and they seem like a nice bunch of people. Got a few samples at the show and I'll be getting some more.
Haven't tried their siren, but we do have a basic UI for sirens, just not in the automation yet as far as I'm aware, but I'll see if I can't try it later this week.

Just tried to automate my siren. I have a  siren up and running on the web and iPhone UI. It does not appear in the automation UI yet. Is there a time frame for the siren integration. Wanted to set it for activation when door opens. Thanks...

It should be there in the next firmware.

Siren still is marked as unsupported (R70), and unavailable in the rules selection.  So next firmware I take it?

Same here,  my Utilitech Siren is connected to Almond+, I can turn in off and on but it doesn't show up in the Automation UI yet.

Were you able to setup the Aeon Labs ZW080-A17 (mparadis's link)?

I have that exact unit and am still unable to get it to pair with the Almond+.

The siren shows up with a the as update, but I still must be doing something wrong. I am hooking to a flood detector. "If xyz flood" then "sound siren" but I am being told to "pick a trigger"

any idea?

Time should not be set, there is no set time constraint for this rule.

In looking at the instructions, there doesn't seem to be an option in the "if" side of the rule to "confirm selections"

??

At the bottom of the If section is a button that says confirm selection. You must select that after picking your triggers then select the actions add a name and save. Occasionally it'll get hung  up, I just delete it and try again.
