hi everyone,

i've been looking for a way to connect my almond+ as a VPN client to VPN servers around the world offered by my VPN provider. This would save me having to connect each device on the home network to the VPN service separately.

if i'm not mistaken, i think i can achieve what i'm trying to do by using the openWRT interface and using the Network>WAN Settings tab and choosing PPtP instead of DHCP?? Is this the only way i can connect to a VPN server using the almond+ as a client? I would prefer to use Openvpn or IkeV2 protocols instead, if possible. is there any way to achieve this??

(just as a side note, i am running the R066 version of the firmware)

thanks

My first recommendation is to update the firmware to at least R069.

Have you looked at this site?
http://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/howto/vpn.overview

Also, I don't recommend PPTP. It's not secure at all. You want L2TP/IPSEC or OpenVPN.
