AEON labs Appliance Switch "Not Supported"
« on: January 17, 2015, 07:14:48 pm »
I saw that the aeon Labs Appliance Switch was on the compatibility list, so I bought one. It set up easily on the Almond+ however, the Almond Android app states the device is "not supported".

You might've mixed up the product in question.
This is the one I added to the Wiki - http://www.amazon.com/Aeon-Labs-DSC24-ZWUS-Switch-Appliance/dp/B00EZ6LJU0
You'll have to be on firmware R069 or later for it to work.

Yeah, no, that's not the one that's supported, yet.
Also, what firmware are you on?
The one you got should work as on/off with R069 or later (beta), but it doesn't support power monitoring as yet, as for some reason, it's different to the one we support.

Just tested on R069cb and it pairs just fine and you can switch it on/off, but the power monitoring isn't working yet.

I upgraded to the beta firmware and to my joy, I got my Linear 500z light switches to work. However, the Aeon switch does pair with my Almond+, but still no joy on the Almond app. I truly appreciate everything Securifi does and continues to do to ensure their customers are happy. I have never seen anything like this forum where someone like you Lars, from the company takes such a vested interest in addressing everyone's issues. Although the Almond+ is not perfect,  you make it easier to wait on a fix.

The apps are a bit out of date as of right now, so a lot of devices that are supported locally aren't working on the apps. We should be updating them in the hopefully not too distant future, as they've been continually delayed due to work being done on the backend for the notifications and this has taken much longer than I was lead to believe it would take.

Thanks for the compliments  :-[ :)

I am just checking on the status of an updated App. This device works only by using the Almond+, but still is "not supported" on the APP.

Originally they hoped to release an android app update with FW 070 but it was delayed slightly and should be released along side the FW 071 release. They plan on pushing a new FW on a monthly basis so it should be too long.

Edit: Also, for those cases I tend to use the connect.securifi website to access them when needed as I have this switch installed as well. Not ideal but provides remote access.

We should have a new firmware and as far as I'm aware, new apps to go with that in about two weeks time.

It's our cloud based UI/remote access option, just go to connect.securifi.com and log in with the same credentials as you set up via the app.
