Almond drops WiFi connections randomly
« on: February 06, 2015, 09:00:31 pm »
I have been generally pleased with the product but am now experiencing WiFi connections lost and then recovered.  My Almond is connected to a Cablevision router.  All connections are DHCP controlled.  Wired connections are never lost, just WiFi.  It is not an issue with the ISP.  I have a Windows machine that is a wired connection to the Almond.  From my laptop I am running a Remote Windows session to the Windows machine with the wired connection.  Every few minutes the remote connection over Wifi is lost and then recovered one or two minutes later.  This does not happen when the laptop is wired instead of using WiFi.  This problem has just started happening the past couple of weeks.  No changes to software or other hardware.

Which firmware are you using? R069cb has some Wi-Fi improvements and the next release expected in a week or two will have more.

R069cb is beta so it does not update through the LCD.  Try doing the update through the Almond+ web server.
