5ghz not working when using range extender
« on: February 16, 2015, 12:27:16 pm »
when using range extender mode my 5ghz is not transmitting.  I can get it to work if I setup the almond+ as a router.  then both 2.5 and 5 are transmitting,  I have tried a hardware reset same result also tried re flashing same problem is there a link with old firmware so I can install the previous version?

update: I was able to find the previous version of software I had (AP2-R069-L009-W016-ZW016-ZB005) and re-installed that and all is working again

Using insider home you can see the 5ghz transmit temporarily then back off

Wireless is not completely optimized, however rare with the R070 firmware. So was this happening with R070?

Yes it was I used inSSider program and could see the 5ghz transmit or come on for a brief second then back off, the 2.4ghz worked OK, rolled back to the previous firmware and could see the 5ghz signal holding fine

This is already brought to the notice of developers. Expecting full optimised Wi-Fi soon enough.

subhunter were you connecting to the guest account at all? This was reported elsewhere I believe that connecting the guest account then disconnecting was causing the network to drop out. I don't know if this is a wide spread / repeatable issue or if a fix is the works.
