DNS resets

Hi

I use unotelly which allows me to access geo-restricted sites. The setup requires Nero enter their DNS into the Almond+.  When I do this it worked fine right up until I uodatedthe firmware and then it reset itself twice back to the default setting over approximately 24hrs.  Any idea on how to stop this?

Not something we've seen.
I presume you've added the DNS server settings under the WAN settings in the web UI?
You have to save after you've added the DNS server(s).

Hi,

I did save the settings as my unotelly service was working. The following evening it stopped working and I tracked it down to the DNS being reset.

T0 advertise different DNS servers to clients goto:
 
Update LAN DNS to:

1:   OpenWRT
2:   Networks
3:   Interfaces
4:   LAN
5:  DHCP Server
6: Advanced Settings
7:  DHCP-Options

This will save your dns servers to the Dhcp Server .

Update WAN DNS to unotelly

1:   OpenWRT
2:   Networks
3:   Interfaces
4:   WAN
5: Advanced Setting
6:  Use DNS servers advertised by peer ( uncheck this option )
7: add unotelly dns

You must also add  the unotelly dns servers to Dnsmasq !! You must check the
 {  ignore resolve file  }  Resolv and host files !

Update Dnsmasq DNS forwardings to unotelly :

1:   OpenWRT
2:   Networks
3:  DHCP and DNS
4: DNS forwardings  (add unotelly dns)

70.38.99.32
162.248.221.182

5: Resolv and host files
 {  ignore resolve file  } check this

Found a bug. The  resolve file  will not update to the new dns servers you add !! The resolve file will only have the dns servers from your ISP.
