List of unsuccessful zigbee devices
« on: January 10, 2015, 08:28:13 pm »
Here is a list of some zigbee devices I had tried to pair but were unsuccessful.

Visionic: MCT-302 door window contact and Next Plus K9-85 SMA motion detector. Both devices were not seen by Almond+

SMC: SMCDW02-D door window sensor was not seen

CentraLite: 4256050-ZHAC dimmable light module and 4256050-RZHAC appliance module. Both paired and Almond+ recognized what type of device they are but was unable to control, was getting unable to update sensor error.

Radio Thermostat: CT30 with zigbee usnap module. Almond+ saw device but was unable to pair, was getting association failed error

*edit* thank you to btosch for bumping some older threads pertaining to some of these devices. With none of the brands on the list exept for the thermostat it didnt occur to me to search if they were discussed. Sorry newb mistake.

support for these devices would be great as they are all devices that xfinity home uses. They are widely available on ebay for very good prices. If need be I can compile list of the xfinity home devices so that they may be added in a future release.

Catvdude that is why I was hoping some of these devices would be supported. Although they aren't from xfinity they are from another cable alarm system.  I thought the companies used the same eq and you have confirmed it. The only other device I didn't bother to try because of other posts I seen was the
IControl: 4000001604 PIMv2.

Although we would try to incorporate support for most of the well known zigbee/zeewave controllers and sensors, but its simply won't be possible to include all brands and types and we don't have plans for that kind of integration either. You may check out this list of supported and tested sensors so far. More would be added, some of them outside the list possibly works as well, its just we haven't had checked them yet.

We're talking to Visonic and we're waiting for samples from them.

We got one of the SMC door sensors, so support for that will come.

We're still working on the CentraLite dimmers, as there was something or the other going on, but they're helping us with that, so it's coming. We don't have a 4256050-RZHAC though and as that and the 4256050-ZHAC are ZigBee HA 1.1 devices, they're being phased out. I think we'll be able to support both of them though, but no guarantees.

I met RadioThermostat at CES, so hopefully we'll start working with them soon.

I just wanted to give this a bump, I just updated to the latest R70 firmware on my Almond+, and when I hit "mate" on my CT70 radio thermostat, the Almond+ shows that it's pairing with a sensor, the CT30 shows "LINK", but after a few moments the Almond+ throws an "Association Failed" error message.

I grabbed the last few entries from zigbee_server.log but they don't seem particularly useful, I also sent logs to the developers in the hopes that it helps them add support for my thermostat! The last few entries from my log are:

Please oh please Lars ask  the developers to build support for more of these Comcast Zigbee devices! It's actually listed on your compatible hardware page here:
http://wiki.securifi.com/index.php?title=List_of_compatible_sensors_-_Almond%2B_2014
But it's listed as being ZWave, and it appears to be Zigbee. Can the Almond+ manage both Zigbee and ZWave devices simultaneously or are they built with either/or radios?

I've heard some people have had better success with SmartThings by swapping out the Zigbee USNAP for a ZWave one, but I think that the Zigbee Almond+ doesn't actually come with the ZWave radio even though the UI shows both.

Almond+ uses both z wave and zigbee simultaneously.
