anyone else having 5ghz problems?
« on: May 08, 2015, 05:58:10 pm »
I wrote in before about the 5ghz radio going down for a while.  It was ok for a while now is going down often.  I'm constantly resetting it.  I raise two kids all day and don't have time to play it guy.  I bought this router because I thought it would make life better and so far I'm getting annoyed with it.

I've got to ask, What have the Securifi support team said about it or done about this?

They wanted me to supply a list of wireless in my area.  I suppose I would be better off calling them?

I had a similar issue when I was upstairs (router is downstairs).  After much frustration I ran a wifi snooper on my Android device.  Surprise; exactly when I was loosing the signal, another signal was popping in from my neighbors router.  It was intermittent and annoying.  I was able to find a channel that my. Eighboranrouter didn't roam to and now life is good.  Good luck

So there is one neighbor that has a 5ghz and I see sometimes but not always. So perhaps that is the one. I will start changing the channels and see what happens. Thank you for that suggestion.

I use my Almond+ as a repeater, and when I connect to the 5ghz signal from my main router, the Almond+ doesn't seem to stay connected for more than a couple of minutes.  Once I switched to 2.4ghz, it has been fairly stable.  I hope Securifi figures out what is wrong sooner than later.

Yes, that has roughly been my experience as well.
