Router Type Rules
« on: March 02, 2015, 12:52:09 pm »
in addition to having time and sensor conditions, I'd like to request router features being added to rules.

Examples:
ping - responds or fails. perfect for rule conditions.
a particular wifi client MAC connects/disconnects. - actions when a particular cell phone goes in or out of range. this would be a nice stand in for gps based rules.

3x Cree connected bulbs - mostly working, some toggle failures using the app; Monoprice PIR - working, waiting for temperature rules;  Trane Thermostat - working; Linear T500Z - working; 3x GE outlets - working; Aeon G2 micro switch, working.

Hard to believe, but they think it's not possible...

Again, that's a post by someone in the support team, please ignore it as he doesn't have good insight into the product development. We've already discussed some kind of geo fencing type solution and it's something we want to do at some point. The other things, I'm not sure.
