Apparently I submitted my last post without explanation... Must've been in a rush. Basically I took a blank wall plate, snaked a low voltage cable to it, placed 4 magnets and a qi charger behind it. Opened up the tablet case, installed 4 magnets and a qi receiver and viola. It took some fitting to get everything lined up and it still stops charging every now and then for a few seconds ( I think my blank plate is a little too thick, I should've bought cheap ones) but it stays at ~94% usually. It slides right off when I want to use it. I had set it up to turn on with motion detection, didn't love it, then I had to using day frame but it was pretty useless because of its location so for now it just remains with the screen off and when I walk in and need it I walk up and push the power button on the side. It would be nice to use a tablet with QI charging native and even nicer to find one that has QI charging and docking magnets but I don't know how sturdy those usually are. I'd like to build a dashboard to control the almond sensors and other info but as I said I have no experience with that.
