Email / Alert When Almond+ disconnects from Cloud

Is there any plans on sending notifications or email when the almond is disconnected from the cloud ? If we are using it for security related items, I think that should be an option.

A lot of thoughts are being put behind this now. Hoping a much robust outcome and your suggestion does make a lot of sense.

Of course the only way this could work is to have the alert come from the cloud side itself, agreed as having it as an option, with flexibility (multiple types of alerts: email, cloud push, SMS), and frequency (once, hourly, daily, etc).

It'd be nice to have a down/up notification with a bit of a delay to avoid flapping (service up/down repeatedly or very quick outages).  This way we'd know the service is down and when it's back up so we can use it again.  I'd rather not get pinged all day if the service is down for an extended time.

Depending on the cloud setup you guys are using there's many ways to do this.  One of my major duties at work is system monitoring, so I'm pretty familiar with the breadth of products available out there.

Yeah, we have been thinking of implementing this notification since months.  We will be doing this as soon as possible at the max within a month time.
