Lowes Iris Zigbee?

Did I read at some point that *none* of the Lowes Iris Zigbee devices are supported?

They have a coupon deal for 33% off their door/window sensor putting it at $13.19 plus tax.

Every ZigBee Lowe's item in the wiki is listed as incompatible due to proprietary software. The door/window sensor is unfortunately on that list.

Only one that I know of that works is the First Alert smoke detector. They just put iris on the package for the ones sent to Lowes.

I thought the First Alert was using Z-Wave. So far Lowe's Iris products that rely on Z-Wave seem to work.

I think you are right and it is zwave. I just remember it had the iris logo on the front of the package.

Yes, the Iris brand covers both ZigBee and Z-Wave but for some reason they decided to do something "special" with their ZigBee gear. It is really too bad because Lowe's is the only convenient in-store source for home automation for me and the prices usually are OK for this stuff. But since it will not work and I do not want an Iris system itself...

hopefully that will change soon. It was announced at CES they are partnering with Centralite for new sensors.
