Hello from India
« on: April 26, 2015, 01:40:27 am »
Installed Almond + with sensors for doors  motion and a switch. Any way of handling overlapping rules?
eg. door open .... switch to come on... door close.... switch off...
in same area if a motion sensor is set to put on the same switch and to put it off 300 seconds after motion stops
The door close sensor over rides the motion  rule and switches off the switch right away. without the 300 second delay.

2nd example

Motion sensor  is programmed to put on switch when motion detected and put off after 300 seconds after motion stops.

if there is motion in the area again the off time is still calculated from 1st motion detection. does not add 300 seconds to the on time.

Any work arounds to this

I would think you could put both in the IF. Say "if door closed AND no motion" turn off light for example. Similar one for turning it on.
Almond 3 mesh handling the home.

Welcome to the Securifi forum Sharad!

I was going to try a similar rule here.

Did fillibar suggestion work for you?
