Alarm rules
« on: June 15, 2015, 09:33:25 am »
I implemented an alarm system using open/close sensor, keyfob and siren with the following rules.

1) Keyfob arm --> away mode
2) Keyfob disarm --> home mode
3) Home mode --> siren off
3) Away mode --> open door --> 15 sec delay --> siren on --> 300 sec siren off

The problem is...
On away mode when the door is open and trigger the rule (4) even though I change the state to Home mode before 15 seconds the alarm was trigger anyway.

My conclusion is no matter the change of status, if the rule was triggered and have a delay on it, it continuous execution without resetting the complete rule.

Are you going to change this behavior or I´m doing something wrong?

Regards

Call or email support if you need an immediate response.

I have a similar set of rules and will take a look at any problems.

I had the same with a motion sensor.
Once the rule is triggered, nothing will stop it...

I had to shut off the rule for similar problem. " If door closed siren off." " If door is open, wait 30 seconds , siren on."  No matter what I did siren would go off for about 5 seconds every time the door was open ( and scare the crap out of the dogs) . I just wanted a notification that somebody left the door open, not every time the door was opened. So I just shut off that rule.  My way of thinking the door being closed should over rule the rule of if door is left open to turn on strobe/siren.
