Clock setup
« on: July 16, 2015, 04:56:06 pm »
I received my Securifi Almond today. I'm using it as an extender. My only issue is the clock. Even though it says the internet is connected, when I try to digitally synchronize the time, I get a No internet connected message.

@ graycam,

Most probably the software on the Almond is not updated, please update the software to R201, which can be done only through Web UI for now. You may go to our website (http://www.securifi.com/rg/software-update) to know how to download and install the software via Web UI, ensure that you select Almond under "Step 2".

Yes, my software was R199 though it said it was updated. I've tried downloading the R201 software on my Mac with Firefox but it only wants to open as a text file which doesn't work. I see the instruction to get the info off Web Administrator but don't see how I get to the Web UI section.

I managed to figure out how to access Web UI. The software says it is now R201 though I was uploading from my laptop via Wifi and the signal was lost during the process. Would that be the Almond restarting? It says it has the new software, R201 when I check Software update. I assume it is complete. Clock still reads 3 hours ahead of me and when I synchronize it reads 12 hours ago, 8:09 am instead of 20:09. Is there a way to manually adjust the clock?

@ graycam,.

Ensure that your device is connected to Almond's network (wired or wireless) and on the browser type the URL which you see from Web Administer.

Thank you. I've accessed the time management tool. My time zone is Atlantic Time. I select it and synch to host but it will still not read the right time. The hours are off by as much as 14 hours. Right now it is 1 hour behind and not reading 24 hour clock. Any thoughts?

@ graycam,

Time and Weather app are still in beta stages, however, the basic functionality should work. Could you please reboot the Almond and then try with sync with host, that should take care of the issue.

I've rebooted, synched with host and applied. Time goes to Eastern Time (one hour behind) on 12 hour clock. If I synch to NTP, it jumps back 19 hours. If I resynch to host and apply time goes back to Eastern time (one hour behind).
