LIinear WD500Z dimmer on firmware 076
« on: September 03, 2015, 08:31:30 pm »
Weird abnormality. Two of these dimmers, both work fine manually, with rules, and in the web console. However, sometimes I can set the dimmer or turn-on/turn-off the summers via the iOS , and sometimes it tells me "unable to update sensor." It doesn't seem to matter if connected to wifi or LTE. Anyone else experienced this or have any advice?

I sometimes get this with the linear garage door opener. I think I used to have it on my linear dimmers as well but I no longer use the android app to control the dimmers, I have one on rules and never adjust the rules because they are outside lights. The other one I have set for a rule with the key fob they sold to the backers and are selling on amazon.

As to get the garage door working again I have to unplug the garage door opener and plug it back in every few days. I am hoping the upcoming update will address some of these issues.

Hope this helps, if you have any further questions let me know.

To get it to work again (temporarily) I just login to the web console and press the power button, then it updates its status, and the iOS app works again, for a little while.

@AcidLotus

I just had one installed and I experience the same issue.  Any help, tech support?  I am running most current iOS app and router firmware.

I have a number of these dimmers and have not experienced this with Android. The problem I have with them is that manual changes are not reflected by the Almond+ (if Almond+ thinks it is off, and you turn it on by pressing the switch, the Almond+ will still show it as off).

@ fillibar,

Try to turn Off/On manually at least 2-3 times with a gap of 5 seconds and then send us the logs please.
